About the Conference

TUO, Time Use Observatory, Workshop will be held in Santiago, Chile. This workshop is organized as the initial step to build a Time Use Observatory. Invited plenary speakers will offer their views about the possibilities that are open to understand the hidden connections between transport and time use, assessing and presenting data availability, theoretical approaches to transport-activities and structural relations suggested by the available information worldwide.

Understanding time use requires the interaction among individuals in many disciplines. This is why researchers, professionals and students in transport and related fields as engineering, economics, geography, sociology and urban planning are welcome to participate, joining the discussions that will emerge from the plenary sessions and presenting their own findings, views and approaches.
